Under this scheme by the Indian government, financial assistance for travel and marketing expenditures relating to the development of the MSME sector in India is supported by the department. The objective is to make MSMEs internationally competitive by technology infusion/ upgradation, modernisation of MSMEs, and promotion of exports of MSMEs.
Who can register?
- State/Central Government Organisations, Industry/Enterprise Associations, and Registered Societies/Trusts and Organisations associated with the MSME.
- The organisation should be registered with the primary objective of promotion and development of MSMEs.
- It should be engaged in such activities for at least three years and should have regular audited accounts for the past three years.
- Events, for which financial support under the Scheme is sought, must have significant international participation.
Benefits:
(i)MSME gets 100% of the economy class airfare subject to a maximum of INR 1.5 Lakhs or actual fare paid, whichever is lower.
(ii) MSMEs also get 100% of the space rent subject to a maximum of INR 1 Lakh or actual rent paid, whichever is lower.
(iii) Common expenses such as freight & insurance, local transport, secretarial/ communication services, printing of common catalogues may be funded as well.
(iv) Office bearer of the applicant organisation also gets an additional duty allowance of INR 150 per day along with the airfare.
How to register?
Applications for seeking financial assistance, in the prescribed performa (Annexure I of Scheme Guidelines), may be submitted to the Director (International Cooperation), Ministry of MSME, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi. The applications for the proposed event must be accompanied with the budget estimate and relevant documents, as prescribed.
